About safety and security
Approved and Maintained
The intruder alarm in your home must be approved, inspected and serviced annually through a service contract with an approved organisation such as the National Approval Council of Security Systems (NACOSS).

The main access door should be fitted with a mortice deadlock of at least five levers or a rim deadlock. Either should conform to the British Standard BS 3621.
If the door is of Aluminium/UPVC construction then it must be fitted with a multi-point locking system which incorporates a lever or cylinder deadlock, capable of being secured by a key from both sides.

Accidental damage cover (in addition) offers protection against damage to the building that occurs suddenly as a result of an unexpected and non-deliberate external action.
This is the amount of any claim that you agree to pay in addition to any compulsory excess imposed by the insurer.
If you have previously held building insurance, you may be entitled to a No Claims Discount.
Your No Claims Discount entitlement can be found on your renewal notice if you have one.
The No Claims Discount must have been earned in the UK on a household policy in your own name.

Contents Cover
Please enter the total replacement cost of everything inside your home (*).
The contents sum insured should be sufficient to replace all the items within your home at today's new prices if they were destroyed by a fire.
